Data Gathering Instructions

  1. Strava Bulk Export

    1. Log in to Strava

    2. Navigate to your Account Settings page.

    3. Click the link in the bottom right corner of your dashboard to "Download All Historial Data".  

    4. Your data will be emailed to your Strava-linked email address.

    5. Forward the data to [email protected] along with your order number.  The email subject should be "Data - <my order #>"

  2. Garmin

    1. Log into Garmin Connect
    2. Find the ride you are looking to export, and click on it to view it in detail
    3. Click on the Export menu, and select GPX File. This will download the GPX file for your ride, which will be named activity_123.gpx, where 123 is Garmin’s ID for your ride
    4. Repeat step 3 for the activities that you want to include in your Athlete Data Viz.
    5. Zip up all the GPX files that you want in your heatmap
    6. Email the *.ZIP file to [email protected] along with your order number.  The email subject should be "Data - <my order #>"

  3. Runkeeper Bulk Export

    1. Visit runkeeper.com/settings

    2. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the Export Data tab 

    3. Select a "Starting Date" and "Ending Date" using the calendar boxes to provide your activity data within that timeframe

    4. Click the button "Export Data" to complete the export process

    5. Individual GPX activity files will be available for direct download on that same page with a "Download Now!" button.

    6. Just click on that button and you will have all your files saved directly to your computer!

    7. Email the *.ZIP file to [email protected] along with your order number.  The email subject should be "Data - <my order #>"

  4. GPX Files

    1. If you have your own GPS files, that's okay!  Supported GPS file types are: .gpx

    2. ZIP up all GPX files that you want in your heatmap

    3. Email the *.ZIP file to [email protected] along with your order number.  The email subject should be "Data - <my order #>"
